16-18 February 2021
Be part of the future – the role of digital and green technology in the post Covid-19 recovery.

The UK Tech Week, Turkey, is a virtual conference, bought to you by the UK Department of International Trade (DIT) in collaboration with the Turkish Ministry for Industry and Technology. This builds on the very successful UK Tech conference held in Istanbul on 17 February, 2020, which was attended by over 800 delegates (government, business and academia). This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event has gone online and will feature a three day conversation running over16-18 February 2021, designed to explore how digital and green technologies will be key in the post Covid-19 recovery. There will also be a spotlight on how the UK can act as a springboard to global growth for technology businesses.

The conference has been designed in collaboration with the Turkish Ministry for Industry and Technology in support of the Republic of Turkey’s ‘New Economy Programme 2020-22’ – especially the programme’s ambitious targets on open data, technological transformation, and high value-add manufacturing. With the UK preparing to host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow in November 2021, the programme will also turn its attention to how to rebuild economies in a way that reduces carbon emissions. This underpins the key sectoral themes of the conference: digital manufacturing, urban mobility in smarter cities, digital health, and renewables. The time is right for the UK and Turkey to focus in on how we can work together to make the most of digital and green technologies for future growth.

Leaders from public and private sector organisations in Turkey and across Eastern Europe and Central Asia are invited to meet with leaders of UK industry to unlock growth and drive positive change in 2021. UK Tech Week, Turkey, will share how the UK tech ecosystem is working together with leaders across our region, to enable new futures - where tech is for everyone and impactful innovation thrives to drive positive change in 2021.
