Fatih Kacır

Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey

Mehmet Fatih Kacır was born in İstanbul in 1984. He completed his secondary and high school education at İstanbul Erkek High School. He completed his higher education (BSc) as “Honour Student” at Boğaziçi University Department of Industrial Engineering in 2008. Following his graduation from College, he became an entrepreneur and worked at different sectors. He worked on simulations software and equipment, virtual reality applications, digital advertising as well as food sector at various companies which he founded or was the member of the board of management. By developing utility models and industrial designs, he was always engaged in innovative activities in his companies. Along the commercial activities, he also assumed an active role in various NGOs. One of the founders of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), he acted as the Chairman of the Foundation until 2018. Within the scope of T3 Foundation, Kacır took part in the establishment of Try&Do Workshops (Maker Labs), development of the Future Stars of Technology Programme for gifted children, establishment of Science Centers and Entrepreneurship Accelerators. He also pioneered in the organization of “Technofest Istanbul”, Turkey’s first aviation, space and technology festival. He was appointed as the member of Scientific Board of TUBITAK in 2018. He is also a member of the Board of Management at Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Research Foundation for the History of Science in Islam. Mehmet Fatih Kacır is fluent in English and German.


Prof. Bahattin Koc

Director and Professor of Sabanci University Integrated Manufacturing Center (SU-IMC), Sabanci University, Turkey.

Bahattin Koc is the director of the Sabanci University Integrated Manufacturing Center and Full Professor of Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering at the Sabanci University (SU). He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2001 and 1997 respectively and his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey in 1993. He was an Associate Professor (Tenured) of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University at Buffalo (UB) before joining to Sabanci University in 2010. Dr. Koc is a founding member and was the Program Coordinator (Chair) of the Manufacturing Engineering Program at Sabanci University.

Dr. Koc’s research interests include additive manufacturing, heterogeneous object modeling, three dimensional (3D) Bioprinting, computational biomodelling and biofabrication and nano/micro-scale modeling and manufacturing. He has published his research results in over 100 scientific papers. He holds three patents. Dr. Koc is the recipient of Elginkan Foundation Science and Technology Award, Turkish Heart Association Award, Marie Curie Career Integration Award by EU Research Agency, Most Cited Author in Computer Aided Design Journal Award from Elsevier, University at Buffalo (UB) STOR Inventor Award, UB Reifler Award and UB Interdisciplinary Research and Development Award and more. As PI/Co-PI, Dr. Koc received funding of more than $20 million for his research work. His research work has been supported by major national and international research agencies and organizations such as the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, the European Union the European Research Council, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) of UK and the U.S. Army Medical Research.

Responsible for the MTC digital manufacturing strategy as well as the route to market and industrial impact.

Barry drives the development of innovative and transformational manufacturing solutions through the MTC, its communities of interest and partner network. Developing products and services offerings that enable market exploitation.

Prior to joining the MTC Barry has occupied a number of leadership positions in market making and strategic transformation roles, including: Manufacturing Industry Leader, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Consulting Services.



Oguz Sezgin

Information Technologies Coordinator, Digital Transformation Leader Koç Holding

Oguz is a business-focused, hands-on digital executive with over 20 years of experience across multiple industries. His extensive IT knowledge – having started as a software engineer, coupled with sharpened business transformation skills, having served as IT auditor and digital transformation director – is what makes him a dedicated leader with a vision for making IT the innovative power of transformation in companies.

By forming teams to design, build, and run digital solutions that drive growth through innovation, Oguz cultivates a culture of impact and growth at Koç Holding, the largest industrial conglomerate in Turkey, and the only company in the country to enter the Fortune Global 500 list.

Happy Dudee

Projects Director, Valuechain Enterprises Ltd.

Happy Dudee currently serve as Projects Director at Valuechain – UK SME working towards digitalising manufacturing supply chains through its software. He received recognition as Exceptional Talent in digital technology by Tech Nation in March, 2020. Over the past 9 years, Happy has lived and worked internationally in India, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. More recently, he has lead supply chain intelligence projects with defence, aerospace and automotive clusters globally (Australia, Europe, India and the UK) increasing Valuechain’s adoption. He has also been closely involved in product improvements closely working with the regional LEPs, Growth Companies and High Value Manufacturing Catapults.

Happy was invited to KTN’s ICT Expert mission to South Korea as the digital manufacturing expert in 2018. Happy was also invited to represent Valuechain at the Global Business Acceleration Program visit to Canada in March, 2018. He is now responsible for growth of iQluster business unit globally through commercial partnerships and continual product improvement to achieve scale.
